We are 2 families looking to rent 2 villas, 6 in one and 5 in the other in Alsancak. Can anyone tell me what amenities there are in the town, are there many restaurants, supermarkets etc. in walkiing distance as we don't really want to hire a car for the whole 2 weeks. We will be bringing 5 children ages 12-17. Does anyone recommend any villas or know of anyone who might have 2 next door or near eachother? Many thanks

Alsancak actually covers quite a big area (believe it or not), so I suppose facilities such as restaurants, shops, bars, etc. might depend on which 'bit' you arrange to stay in. I'm sure you'll get lots of useful info as time goes on. I don't imagine you'll have too much trouble with the hire of a villa, although whether you'll get two next to each other...................? Good luck.

Check out some of the hotel websites as they have done the research on what a visitor may need. Try these: Green Holiday Village Almond Holiday Village (just on the borders of Alsancak) Riverside Holiday Village Also try looking at Trip Advisor, as the visitors will have (unbiased) comments about lots of things, such as beaches, restaurants, bars, car hire, etc.

I will second (?third) that. The Almonds is a lovely place. Recommended it (yet again) to a couple last year and they were delighted with it.
