| I just thought I would let you all know that we paid our advocate to stamp and register our contract for us in March. No problems with stamping this was done on 16th March but due to backlog at land registry our contract was only registered on 12th June! Hopefully no-one has fallen foul of this delay with a mortgage being taken out on their property in the meantime. |

| Joandjelly, Was this with the Land Registry in Girne? We registered ours on 12th March and if you were prepared to wait a few hours, it was done there and then, in Girne, so why 4 days later there is a 3 month delay I don't know. I suspect that either the advocate didn't submit it when they told you they had, or they havn't been chasing it up with the Land Registry. Just my opinion. This is why I wasn't prepared to pay mine to do it and went there personally. MC |

| Joandjelly, I hope there is nothing fishy in all this. There must be a paper that says that your contract is registered. Please check it for yourself and don't take anybody's word for it. Good luck. ismet |

| I agree with MC, I went over and did mine myself early April, I was down at the land registry office at 6am and there was already 10 people there. I think I waited for 3 hours. I was told to go back a week later to collect the paperwork. When I went back they hadn't done it because they had discovered there was a mortgage on the land. I had then to sign to say I understood this and I then went back to collect the documents another week later. I was told that they did the public on mornings and the lawyers on the afternoons.
