Most of the dentists will offer whitening using bleach, i.e. they take an impression, make you a gum shield and give you the bleach in little syringes. Shop around as the price can vary - probably cheaper in Lefkosa. Also find out what strength of bleach they will provide. 15% is very strong and makes your teeth very sensitive so it's hard to use it on consecutive nights but does give instant results. I got 8 syringes at 15% and only managed to use 6 of them on alternative nights before my teeth got so sensitive that I couldn't bear it any longer!

I got mine from Rasime Basat Keleş - probably not the cheapest but I'm happy with her as a dentist. As you head West from Girne turn left at fountain roundabout and continue along that road for about 100m, on the left there is a big tooth sign outside her surgery. Phone 0392 815 6272.

I had mine whitened at Seda's Dentist almost opposite the courts above Asar Chemist. She is resonabily priced give her a try. tele (0392) 815 8899

Seda is closing for a couple of months as her baby is due end of May. She is having her surgery re-vamped during this time and opening again at the beginning of July if I remember correctly.

We will be closed between 12th may and 30th june for revamp and upgrade of equipments.But during this period our phone lines will be opened for appointments from 1 july 2010 onwards.

on slightly different note ,how much is 1 typical filling ?



i need one shortly and was wondering to try out when over in the summer .....i begrudge paying in the uk now.

ive allwasy paid and had same dentist ,the last time in a waiting room of 15 patients i was the only payer and half were just over from "dover " and got theres free.
