| Eight of us went to Lapida Hotel Lapta for a meal last night. Wonderful meze followed by their speciality 'Chicken cooked in a clay oven' a bit like Kleftico. If you fancy trying this it is better to book so they can have it prepared. A few bottles of wine and beers. Bill came to 80tl per couple.
Excellent food and value. Lovely friendly Cypriot family (English speaking) Still a bit chilly so we ate inside which is a pity as the gardens are lovely. Well worth a visit.

Fethi and Mary put on some really good Turkish Cypriot cuisine and are well worth a visit. Their gardens and pool are quiet and attractive, and I think they do Sunday barbecues.
The hotel is on a back road, turn left on the main coast road from Lapta to Karsiyaka just after the Sempati turn (opposite the garden centre) and follow the signs (black & red, fairly distinctive).

| Turn in to the side road just before Flippers and head for Lapta Village, the hotel sits on the left. |

Their room rates are often negotiable so worth giving them a call, or better still pop in to see them they will make you very welcome and show you the rooms. But definitely not expensive.
