| hi peeps just spent a week on my first proper sun, sea, sand, and pool holiday after 6 years of living here! Spent a few days at the Balci Plaza in Yenierenkoy, so this post is to basically pass on a recommendation! Might be a good idea NOT to stay there at the weekend though, as wonderful as the Cypriots are, I went for some rest and relaxation and not to be kept awake until 4 in the morning! They had all gone though by Sunday afternoon, so the rest of the stay was gorgeous. Lovely little sandy beach set in a bay, with beds and shades, little bar, and the apartments a short walk away. Hotel is owned by Hasan and he has an able manager called Kadir. We were being lazy so we opted to eat at the hotel restuarant every night, and was REALLY impressed by the cooking! Steaks cooked to perfection, wonderful wonderful salad with so many different things in it to tickle the taste buds, and they would make you something up if you didn't fancy what was on the standard menu, of which there was lots. There were 3 of us, and there are two types of apartments available to accommodate various numbers, so we paid 90Euro per night for 3 of us including breakfast. So anyone wanting a peaceful stay with a little beach to go chill out on all day, then would highly recommend. http://www.balciplaza.com |

| I stayed at Hassan's place last September when exploring the Karpas. He's a great character and really enjoyed the stay. As an aside, I had a shave at the barber shop in the village, it cost 10 YTL and included a neck and back massage. Can really recommend the experience to the guys. Lem |
