Where is the best place to buy those small pieces for the house. i.e vases, artificial flowers, nice pictures ( in frames or canvas). I have seen the pictures at the Saturday market but not really my thing. Looking for contemporary / modern art work.

Chateau Lambousa market - not sure when the next one takes place. Had some great pieces on at last auction good prices.

There's an art exhibition featuring works by six artists at Bellapais Abbey at the moment. On until this Sunday, 10am - 4pm.

i found some decent stuff at small art gallery type shop.(pictures mainly)



go from west to east over main girne to lefkosa round about in girne ......drive as though you were going to east girne /bellapais lights ,its 100 yards before this junction .



there is a zanussi shop next door , and next to recalimed "cyprus pots antiques" yard do directions make sense ?

Have you spoken to Pam, the artist who does the paintings on display on Saturday at Lambousa (and also Friday at Carpenters)? If you're looking for something specific I'm sure she'll be able to sort you out. She's excellent and lots of people go to her with special requests.
