Three years ago I purchased a D-Smart viewing box & card in Turkey which worked perfectly well and was very happy with the choice of program channels I received. I was told it was a once off payment. Two months ago the viewing card had perished/deteriorated and was told by their TRNC Main Agent in Lefkosa (after trying the sub-agent in Girne who promised full repair but did absolutely nothing, Meta) that I paid 180TL for repair to the card which needed to be sent to Istanbul taking 5 weeks or buy a new box & card for 300TL. I took the latter option only to find half the programs I used to watch had gone to 'subscription' as the company had changed its policy in 2010 for new purchases. I emailed their HQ in Istanbul and complained that this was unjustified. Received a phone call from them today, I explained the mis-sold system which they accepted and hey presto, they have upgraded me FOC! I can now watch the tennis finals and all the Discovery programs! Well done D-Smart!
