Would like to thank the 112 team for the way they treated my friend who had a stroke and was rush to Lefkosa Hospital 2 weeks ago.

The quickness of them arriving and dealing with the situation and getting him to the hospital was incredible they were proffessional and must say very good at their job, they knew exactly what to do and they dealt with the situation.

I dont think they get enough praise for what they do and would like to thank them again from his Wife and us for what they did, he is still in hospital and expect to stay there for a few more weeks hopefully and the hospital have taken care of him, he could not have been given better care even if he was in England.

Again thank you 112 and keep up the good work .

I think we should help the 112 team of people as much as we can so they can keep up the this service they provide for the people of Northern Cyprus both English and Turkish Cypriot people

Deniz,

You're probably right - I think that some of them are from Engerland...

jamestalbot,

You're absolutely right!

Mind you, I've installed a spell checker; without it, my posts would be garbage.

What!

Who said that?

How very dare you?

- But really, although I make every effort to get it right, I just view other's spelling as 'text-talk' - as long as there is sufficient grammar to get the message across, who cares? - Unless it's Groucho of course, he's fair game

If there's inadequate punctuation, then it really can be a dead loss, but as Esther Rantzen used to say "That's Life"...

It would be very boring if we were all the same.

Hats off to 112 !

my mother in law took ill 18 months ago late at night. my father in law called an ambulance and on giving the address in upper kyrenia was told that that they did'nt know where that was, he was frantic and knocked on his tenants door next to his apartment, 2 young students. they had to carry her in her chair and some how got her into their car, by they time they did this and got her to kyrenia hospital she had drastically deterioriated and despite cpr she passed away. the reason they did'nt know the location we were told was because the street name has changed so many times!!

Just a thought; in the UK the air ambulance service in Oxfordshire uses GPS locations rather than addresses (Difficult to give an address if you've fallen off a horse in the middle of a field!)

There are plenty of people here with handheld GPSs that could find it out for you. If Terry Carter and his crew could teach the ambulance drivers to use a GPS, it would save all the hassle of finding the people in need of help. Or am I expecting too much?

Hal,

Maybe we should have continued with the 'openstreetmap' thing...
