Golden Beach is lovely - locals use the beach to BBQ!! I think there is some sort of accommodation nearby - they look like wooden huts.

Me and my other half are hoping to go to the Karpas next week and are hoping to stay in one of the wooden huts but we have been warned that they get too hot to sleep in when it's very hot...........do you think it's worht the risk, just for one night?

fern7 - Iwould recommend villa lembos in Dipkarpas- we stayed there last year when it was newly opened - lovely and clean, comfortable bed, hot shower, fluffy towels. Food in the restaurant nothing to write hoem about - but fairly good. http://www.villalembos.com. Rachb - the huts on stilts - Livana hotel - best night sleep I had - lovely breeze through the open plan windows!! - take some of those coil things for the mozzies - it is very basic - but for one night great fun.

Lembos do not do evening meals so that can be a disadvantage having to drive to a restaurant. Balci Plaza has all the facilities anyone could need.
