She has been running a temperature for a couple of days. Controlled with calpol. Thought it was teething but she has a cold and is really out of sorts.

Dear Phebes,

We had the same problem with my 10 month old. I couldn't take him to our doctor because she was appearing on television so we went to the general hospital in Nicosia. Apparently there is a bug going around. My little boy had a sre thoat.I don't know if this is the same one that your child has but the doctor in the general hospital prescribed antibiotics and some sort of a drop to take if he was really ill. He also prescribed some FITIL dont know the English to give him when his temperature was too high. We didnt use the antibiotics and he went back to normal in a few days. But he couldnt swallow or eat properly durin gthat time. Your little one might have the same thing, we were desperately worried but our baby was well again in a few days. Do see a doctor and see what they say.

If you are in centrl Kyrenia go to the Kyrenia mdical centre [opposite shabby chic] and see Dr Eminaga [spelling]?



OR



Go to jinomer near the courts and ask to see the paedeatrician there.
