You can buy water meters at most hardware stores here for about TL60, but they MUST be fitted by the local council water dept. They will charge you about TL50. OR, they will supply one and fit it for about TL150. These prices are approx and vary from council to council. If not fitted and sealed by the council/water dept. you are committing an offence and if caught could result in a hefty fine. This all assumes you already have a water supply to your premises. If not prices can escalate.I fitted my own replacement water meter and the council people came to seal it the same day, still charged me TL50. Geoff Famagusta City

My apologies. No problem, just buy one at a hardware store and fit it, or hve a plumber fit it for you. I guess a plumber would charge about TL25. Geoff

This meter is broken.... The water is leaking out through the viewing glass, not much but enough to make the patio green and people can slip on it... It is in Karmi and they have different rules for water and are charged differently as its all in house... Andrew just needs to replace the meter... so if anyone knows where he can get one, let him know....
