Moody 40 extensively equipped sailing yacht, 3.20 metre rib with 15hp engine and fold up motorbike included in sale.

This boat has state of the art navigation aids, deep freeze fridge 4.5kv inbuilt generator as well as 4 solar panels.

You are compleatly self sufficient.

Just returned from a 3.5 thousand nm cruise perfect in every way.

Suitable for serious blue water cruising or just a day out sleeps 6 people very comfortably.

A full specification is being drawn up e mail me for full spec.

No time wasters please.

Guide price 65 to 70 thousand euros.

But as everything open to negotiation, may consider quality 4x4 as part of the asking price but certainly no property or land.

And of course a berth and winter cradle in Delta Marine Girne

This is by far the best yacht in the North

The most important thing when buying a yacht is whether it is registered and whether you have the previous bills of sale. Without these it is more risky than buying TRNC title!

What year is she?

Where is she registered?

I assume you have previous bills of sale etc.

Would you part ex for a smaller yacht?

Thanks

CALKHEAD- who the bl..y hell are you to cast aspirations about my advert for your information it is Part One registered, if of course you know what that is.

If you are interested then say so otherwise wind your kneck in.

And to swanny port of registry Liverpool, British flag and no to a smaller yacht.

Thanks for the info.

Just in answering Calkhead's aspersions you forgot to let me know the year it was built (this will let my friend know who has expressed an interest which model it is).

Year of manufacture 1979-builder Marine Products length 40 feet

The Moody 40 is the last boat to be designed solely by Angus Primrose after that it was in conjunction with bill Dixon -distinctive by its liner bows.

And i further forgot to say that the majority of us here practice honesty and integrity in our lives i take strong objection to any suggestion that my proposed sale may in any way be otherwise.

Sorry you took my remarks the wrong way. I was only drawing attention to the fact that anyone buying a boat needs to check these things out. It was a very detailed advertisement mentioning all the bell and whistles except for the most important information, ie title. You must know there are many unregistered vessels in TRNC, some of which have arrived without too many questions being asked. My point was that having been involved in shipbroking, I know that even more people leave their brains behind when buying pleasure craft, than when buying holiday homes.

Apologies for any offence caused.

I would like you please to give some evidence of a unregistered/illegal/stolen boats here in the TRNC.

I am sure myself and other boat owners here in Kyrenia along with the TRNC sailing federation would be more than willing to meet with you to receive the evidence that you obviously have of these boats.

To my knowledge there was only one such boat here ,that was of a slightly dodgy origin, in that it was the subject of a undischarged hire purchase agreement and became the property of the bank..

That i know has now been cleared and the boat now completely legal.

Whilst i am sure there are many sharp practicing sellers here please please do not criticize without being prepared to produce evidence and publish it in the public domain.

I have forwarded your posting to the president of the sailing federation also the owners of gem Delta marina and boat owners I am sure they will contact you in due course.

Oh and by the way the correct term is yacht brokerage 'we don't have ships

I do not want to get into an arguement with you and I am sure those that belong to the sailing federation and Delta marina are all above board. For your information shipbroking is a serious profession, completely different to yachbroking which is more like car sales. However, international maritime law applies whether you are buying a yacht or whether buying a container ship. Not everybody realises this. I am sure the provenance of yours and your association's pleasure craft are fine, particularly if on the British small ships register like yours, but all I am saying is caveat emptor.

MR. Caulkhead- you fell into the Hippo's trap in fact you used a JCB to dig the hole, your ignorance of even the most basic information has shown that you are talking out of the proverbial.

I did not say Small Ships Register I said part 1, I have the same registration as an super tanker surely a ship broker!! would be aware of this simple fact.

So if the craft in Delta are ok and the sailing federation are ok then where ae all these illegal boats?

please put up the information or s..u..

I would further remind you that Camper and Nicholson Asconda or a dozen or so yacht brokage may well take umbridge in being compared to a used car salesman.

Sorry for not reading your post correctly. If I was a used car sales man I might also be upset! What makes you think that yachbroking or any other type of broking for that matter is so squeaky clean that you do not have to take precautions when buying. Look at estate agency! This all started because you omitted some important information from your advert and I thought potential buyer should know you have to make sure the paperwork is in order when buying a boat. I have apologised for upsetting you. Now I will not post any more on this subject and if you do I will begin to think 'he doth protest too much'!

Why do innocent posts end up in disarray? Because people make comments that are just mischievous. the posting is for selling a yacht ! Therefore if you have no interest in purchasing such why make any comment at all? this happens on nearly all posting and the initial thread becomes hijacked.

Thank You very much Gaz- it is true that all i wanted to do is sell my quality yacht but again 'an expert' who i i suspect doesn't even live here sticks an unnecessary proboscis in.

Thank You again for your support.

And for all the other readers I can assure you that our boat is registered, paid for and as described.

We will be taking the boat out of the water very soon, probablly after a quick trip to Alanya so if you wish to see it afloat please contact us now.

The difference in this boat as opposed to the rest of the sailing boats in the north it goes places, this year 4000nm of trouble free cruising.
