I got pestered by young Turkish man young enough to be my son

and he was a real nuisance. They had to throw him out later I heard

as drunk. Not the sort of place I want to go to, but it's all we have near

to us, and for those who like footie they have the big screens!

Hi all, went to kings bar a couple of weeks ago for the first time. i was told that the owners were from the north east of england as are we. I was hoping to meet up with one of the owners for a bit of banter but couldn't catch up with them. Didn't experience any bad language but it was during the day. Myslef and my kids had a game of pool and enjoyed a drink. I noticed that there were things in place for karoake ( not sure if thats the correct spelling) They had abig screen which is obviously for footie matches which is great but i found the efes a bit poor compared to other places and the staff were a bit holiday resort ish. I'm basicly saying that there wasn't the usual tc warmth.

Yes, I like Pine Bay when stayed there couple of times. Ahmet very helpful

when I was let down by taxi to airport, and told me I was staying another

night (free of all charges) & to go & cool off in the pool. I heard he was

ex London drug squad police. Smashing guy

sorry to here that some people have had as they discribe as a bad experiance at the bar . we do not condone bad language or bad behavior.but we can not be responsable for the small minority who conduct themselfs in this way. we will endevor to prevent these things whenever posible.we are honest hard working people who are trying to make an honest living, i was only informing people as to what the bar was offering in entertainment. if some think this forum is a means to try and distroy the reputation of small buissness people as we are. i can not understand.i only hope people will come and make there own minds up. welcome all.

hi paulgeordie think back to last sunday about 7pm we came to have a drink and listen to the karreoaky the 8 people sitting outside they were well out of order they had been there since lunchtime and i think it was your wife or partner she was dressed up in a long dress was with them outside they broke 2 glasses messing about she never told them about there swearing. i am not trying to give you a bad name you are doing that very well yourself. i will say your drinks were very good and the right price. was informed your sunday lunch was to die for. i wish you all the best it could be a great family bar if you can control the swearing spud1

Pipie

Pine Bay is on the road to Lapta, nearly as far as Homefront.

The company who arranged inspection visit put me up there.

Pretty gardens all round, 2 pools, (hard beds but I like that!)

Bar & restaurant lively with all matches on. Cheap too.

Paul, when I was in Kings bar a couple of weeks ago I noticed you have a eurovox box as a tv receiver, is it something you bought over there? I have a few of them at home in Sunderland and wanted to bring one to trnc to see if it works.

Hi Paul

I would like to say we have visited this bar several times and always had a great time.

We have a 13 yr old son and one time the language got a liitle much but I just asked the person swearing to stop and he apologised. This has happen in most bar's I have taken my son to, even in the uk

Some people use this language all the time and do not realise it is offensive to some.

Please do not be put of this Pub by the small minority, we have had some great night out at the King's Bar.

We are back out there at the end of August ,fetching my parent's out, we can't wait to visit your pub again I have heard the food is FANTASTIC.

See you end of August.

Just back from a few days in England and am catching up on the goss.

We live on the Turtle bay complex and visit the Kings often and as with every pub where English gather especially holidaymakers you will get the ones who are unruly and foul mouthed and a lot of this is outwith the earshot of the management, fortunately Paul and Paula tend to stamp this out when they hear it but brits being brits it will happen from time to time, doesn't make the pub a bad place and the sunday lunches are great.

You will always get the whingers though

We are out there in September and are quite partial to a drink or two. The Kings seems a place with a good atmosphere.

We have an apartment next to the Molous inn in Tatislu, how far is the Kings bar from here please ?

If anybody is over the first two weeks next month, especially the second week as we have 4 friends joining us, would be happy to meet up for a drink.

We have an apartment on Turtle Bay and have drunk in the Kings Bar on several occasions. Paul and Paula are working hard to make their pub a success, it is a pub after all, so sometimes you will get bad language. We are grateful to have somewhere to meet others and have a drink, which we don't have to drive to.

I don't think people should critisis, if they don't like it, after all you don't have to go there, and could drink elsewhere.

By the way paul's breakfasts are excellent

Best regards

I quite agree with you & any man who is half a man would object to swearing

in front of his children. I feel ashamed of these people. It is totally unacceptable. I must say I have not heard it when I have been in but would

certainly have been offended if children present especially.

Hi, really do think that Paul and Paula would sort any trouble out as it occurs, they love their bar and will do anything to make it a good place to be, lets support them and enjoy. We live inEsentepe, a little drive away, and do not go there too many times but when we do, we enjoy it. Great place for a night out.

Stuck me head in a couple of times the other week. Great place and was made very welcome. It was through the day. A slow mix of people of all ages popped in. Cypriot, local expats and tourists, young and older. Service was great, prices were great, not that I remember exactly but not expensive. Cocktail making was entertaining, Dave, keep the lid on!

Football crowd were a bit bias but then there is not a lot of anything else in Geordy toon.

All in all a great bar in a great location and if anyone who hasnt been there but has driven past few times, make the effort to call in. First entrance from the east end towards Girne and second from Girne side. Dont be put off by the security. Just a nod and your in.

You will be made very welcome.

Cheers guys.

In all honesty oddbod the security gate is a contentious matter between the owners. We are paying lots of money for this and it serves no purpose at all as it is at the moment :(

Me thinks security or its presence serves a purpose.

If something or place looks guarded then if I was a potential robber I would move on. As I have, not on a robbing spree, passed there several times over the last couple of months cos I couldnt be bothered explaining that I just wanted a look. Now I know that it is "just a nod" to use an expression, I think that the service that is paid for does add something of value.

I do think that if I "looked" a bit suss then I would have been asked my business.

Anyway, pop in if anyone who hasnt been ther is passing and meet the gang. Ded friendly. Great chill place.

P.S. Didnt like Keegan anyway since he left Liverpool.
