Car road tax advice please

got to renew my road tax tomorrow



1, what do i need its probably changed from last year?



2, is emissions and mot every 3 years



3, has the tax office moved a couple of times since last year?? where is it now?

Very easy graycoul, even Mrs Snakes managed it!!



Take turning by the side of Girne Hospital and follow road round. Big tax office building on right hand side. Park opposite. Go in main door and take door left to the Gents toilet.

Take all you car paper work, log book, old tax disc etc. Hand in your old tax disc and you will be given a price to pay. Pay and leave with new tax disc !!



It took less than 2 minutes. Emmisions and mot every three years.

Just a bit further along from the Courts or the Pia Bella if coming the other way. Its the road in Girne that runs between the roundabout where the big TV screen is near the big main car park near the harbour and the roundabout that is at New Harbour Road/Catalkoy Road end. Take all your Car Docs including emmisions and MOT test certificate

Re one of the messages. Everything correct for tax. but yes to MOT every three years for cars, if comercial the MOT every year. costs 110 tl now emmissions every year. Mots have to have emmissions done on the same day. We only found that out this year

I've just been for an MOT (100tl) as the last one was 3 yrs ago. I read this thread before I went to make sure I didn't need a new emmissions test (as the last one was 2yrs ago). But the MOT centre said that you need a new emmissions test every time you have an MOT, so dashed off to Erderner garage to have that done (25TL), back for MOT then to tax office again for road tax.

Hi

Please be aware that the MOT is not exactly every 3 years it is on a timetable according to Registration Letters. They publish the dates and there is also a chart in the tax office. For example my friend has a car that will be 3 years old next February but his first MOT is due next week. We also bought a truck which we knew would have to be MOT'd every year & it was done September 2009. When we went to get the Road Tax in July thinking of course that the MOT would be valid we were fined because the MOT date was in fact April.

I am not sure it is actually called "erdener garage", but I am certain you mean the garage that does emission test next to Erdener supermarket. It is as soon as you enter the road on the left just before you get to Erdener supermarket; on the main road from Girne to Ozankoy/Çatalkoy (approx 1 km after you pass Karakum)...
