| Just to confirm Car Tax rises.
Taxed my car yesterday Mon (4TH) and the fee has DOUBLED. My old Merc. (20 years old) From 296 ytl to 580ytl.

| There were a few comments after this appeared in CT a couple of weeks ago.
One that really sounds familiar as same happens in UK. People on low incomes will not pay and chance being caught. With the miniscule fines it does sound a good idea. The cost above for the Merc. is half a months wages!!!!!!!! |

| Yeah all of these price hikes are making living in the TRNC quite expensive , feel so sorry for the locals . |

| Not sure how true this is but was told that if you import a vehicle over 1800cc the duty is double. |

Stop complaining about insignificant price hikes and enjoy the vast array of
potholes,person/vehicle road traps and other national treasures which are
available free of charge.
Many countries would charge a premium for motorists to experience these
life altering benefits.
You don't see Comrade Talat on this Forum carping about increases ! ! |
