As long as you have an official smart card, you are OK. Are there many people receiving the programming without official smart cards?

Apparently, this message applies to Orbit customers who from the 7th will need an official satellite receiver from the company - not an off the shelf one with or, without a smart card!

I may be wrong but I believe that it is to do with whether you had showtime before the merger with orbit and the prices went up, I had until last month a valid showtime card that I could still use without paying the extra cost for the OSNetwork. I cancelled my subscription but I think if you want to stay with them as of the 7th September you have to have the new card.

well then I must be wrong. just curious though is this for all OSNetwork decoders as I see that they are advertising the new boxes for the 10 HD channels which they will swap free of charge in the UAE anyway.

Yes Proger 1, IF you have one of the old decoders and IF you live in the UAE - they will swap it for free. This time you are absolutely correct!

I think he was trying to be helpful to those who might not be aware of the change if they had not seen the message, at least I am giving the benefit of the doubt in this one Mark.
