Recommended on Cyprus44, but what a dissappointment

Last week we decided to go to Poppadoms (Bar on 3). We had read good reports of this new Indian. We had the only bad meal of our holiday. We walked in at 7.30 and was asked what we would like to drink, 15 mins later the wrong order arrived. Asked what we would like to eat and we gave our order. 20 mins later they came and asked us again what we would like. 10 mins later 3 poppodoms arrived with 2 very small dishes of pickle. Next the waiter placed 1 dish of rice on the table and walked away ( dish was only about 6 inches in diameter). He then came with our curries, which consisted of about 5 cubes of meat in a dish of sauce (same size as rice dish). 1 of them was ok, 1 had a few chewy bits and the 3rd wasnt even cooked properly. When the owner came out to ask if everything was ok, we told him no. By this time another table of 8 had walked out in the middle of their meal. The reason given for the poor meal was that they had no chef.

cont. Surely for good customer relations it would have been better to only serve drinks. It was a great dissappointment and when we looked at the bill later we realised that they had charged 5tl for each poppadom. A rip off

We bought our villa from Greatstone Constructions Limited. One of the 44 best developments and reccommended builders on Cyprus 44



At this point in time we are out of pocket some £150K, no kochan,part finished villa. The builder has filed for bankrupcy owing horrendous debts all over the TRNC and still their villas are advertised on The Cyprus 44 best list. Will Cyprus 44 compensate those poor people who acted in good faith based on their reccommendation?



Is is still listed on their reccommended builders and sites as No 24 .



This is one of the reasons we keep posting



Caveat Emptor.



I can feel a ban coming on.

Do you not think that the recomendation should not be taken down as the builder filed for bankrupcy 4 weeks ago?



Presumably this was paid advertisement.

Maybe the one bill the builder did pay was his C44 advertising bill, which is why the advert is still there.

indeed i do wyn but what can i say if the forum admin and sit owner wish to promota a bankrupt and lur members into loosing their life savings.
