I left at 7 o'clock because the music was: A. Very Turkish, and B. Much too loud. The 8 or 9 customers were all Brits and could not hear each other speak. The DJ refused to turn the music down. I would have liked to wish Hakki "Happy Birthday" but he wasn't there.

Re : message 4 It was Hakkı's birthday party - that happens only once a year ... surely you can't begrudge them playing a little Turkish music ... my partner and I weren't going to stay for the mezes but Hakkı insisted ... and the humus was awesome ... "Elinize Sağlik" to the chef ... and many happy returns to you Hakkı Crumpy

Crumpy, The Turkish music in itself was not a problem. The level of the volume was, and this made the music overbearing. The early squad, about 6-8 people, are usually there from about 5-7pm almost everyday and only want a quiet beer and conversation. The DJ put the music on loud and walked away. He refused to turn it down, so I voted with my feet.
