Hi, does anyone know the telephone number for East University Hospital in Lefkosia please. I'd rather ring first, rather than drive all the way and find they can't help.

Thanks for reply. I just tried to call them but when I asked (in my best Turkish!!!!) if she spoke English, she said no and hung up. I know I am in their country, and I have learnt some Turkish, but not enough to have a medical conversation. I rang Medikent, and what a difference. The answer phone automatically asks if you want English or Turkish, and then I got a very friendly English speaking girl, who was very helpful.

I am sorry to hear this, well they should also appoint someone who can speak both Turkish and English,they should also invest in customer services .

I went to the medical faculty to visit a friend of mine who is the Oncology radiologist, he is on the management team. I showed him your postings and he was on the phone immediately. I am sure this will be rectified very soon.

I was shown around and the hospital is so up to date I thought I was in a different country. Their facilities are top notch.

I asked how much for a ladies check up, not for me I might add, mammogram, ultrasound on the same area, complete blood test, smear test, ecg and a consultation amounted to around 500 tl which looked pretty good to me
