Hi All good morning. I was interested to read the posting that is now closed concerning the Unwins,I have also noted of late an increase in the number of posts that have been closed. It surprises me that the offending posts remain to be viewed even though further posts are banned. Surely it makes more sense to remove the entirety of the topic. Perhaps there should be an accessible register containing names of those banned. regards Doug

We all make mistakes from time to time, we all loose our cool and say things we later regret. That is why we should all stay relaxed about transgressions ! Let he who is without SIN cast the first stone.................we are all sinners.

msg. 1 dougskud, You made a valid point here. Sometimes we the moderators remove the whole thread or delete/edit a specific post or close the thread depending on circumstances. If there is a malicious post/thread intended to harm rather than inform, we can do any of the above. One thing is certain: the fact that any of the accused advertise on this site is not a consideration and there has never been any suggestion from the owner of this site to that effect. We treat all posts on its merits. If a post/thread is really damaging and/or libellous without any serious attempt to inform of the circumstances, it is likely to be deleted completely. If it is a clear attempt to libel/damage but it is actually doing more harm on the reliability of the originator and hardly harms the accused, I prefer to close it and let everyone see what the originator is trying to do and let the person discredit himself/herself. This is what I did with the thread in question. ismet

msg. 5, It has been lifted because it caused more harm than good. Take me for example, I do not have a isp based e.mail. I want to feel free to change my isp as often as I like and hence I do not want an isp based e.mail. ismet

Gents, as long as what is said is true and accurate there is no problem. Shoudl anyone post anything that is untrue there could be backlash. Personally I have no problem with posting my experiences with Unwins anywhere. It's not defamation, its true.

Can you afford to prove the truth in the TRNC? It is your responsibility and the system is loaded.

msg. 7, You are welcome to post your experiences here without interference. One should not be afraid to express the truth if they have proof of it. Reliance on hearsay is not good enough. Its no defence that you read it in a newspaper or somewhere else on the internet. You are jointly liable. ismet

Thats absolutely right. I read an article yesterday about a warrant out for Mark Unwin in UK but I haven't included that in my posting because it may or may not be true. I believe it is but who knows? It was a Cyprus news paper article from 2005. I wish I'd seen that before i handed over £20,000, that was 2005 and i'm still waiting.

Simbas. Message 11 refers to a warrant that may or may not exist. Is this unproven/unresearched allegation more deserving of moderation than my little bit of sillyness? Or would that prove a little challenging?

msg. 11, Ivorbankloan, I am afraid there is more insuniation than fact in your message. Warrant in 2005 for what? Could it be Greek Cypriots after the Estate Agents who sell pre74 Greek Cypriot land? Now its 2010 and did you bother to find out what happened to that warrant? I am afraid my feeling here is that you tried to imply something without the facts to back it up. Please correct me if I am wrong. I am aware of many property victims but accusations against estate agents, advocates etc. without being too specific about their particular fault is not fair. ismet

People in charge of the forum, are the Forum Admins and they are the biggest "%$£*", all of them. I do not have a problem with any FA, you can fill in the "%$£*", but if you substitute any derogatory word, it appears to be OK! Well at least in the eyes of at least one FA, as the statement names no specific individual. Have I grasped this correctly?

| Texas What is your problem? Read the mission statement on the login page and (re) read the rules and if you still have a problem with the way the board is run then you have two options 1: address your concerns via e-mail to the Forum Admin team or 2: go find another board that suits your requirements better. | Message 26, My post was a polite question, your response smacks of attitude which in my opinion un-masks your true persona, you really need to get of that high horse before you fall and do yourself some damage. Have a good evening. |

Ok Steve Sorry if you misinterpreted my last reply. Let me explain myself: The TRNC is my life and there is no where else in the world that I would want to live now and that is the one reason why I support this board and more importantly the country. Whether other members slag me off for my beliefs is immaterial and although I am essentially an expat (not lived in the UK for over 25 years tho) my heart is in this country. My 'true persona' Is what you perceive not what you know and if you base your perceptions on some ones postings on this board then you are misguided to say the least. Regards AJ

AJ, " you should never judge a book by its cover" But alas when you don't know someone personally you form opinions on what you read that is what most humans do. Your response however is full of passion for the place that you live namely the TRNC and i only wish others were as passionate. If you read my message 24, again i was paying compliment for the fact that you put up with a lot of insult and un-fairness in a role that is un-paid. Maybe i have been a Shrink/Social worker for too long and i need a long lie down on the leather couch Hope that's cleared it up, Again have a good evening.

AJ Re-read messages 20, 21 & 22. Then try and put them in context, if you are at all able. I have no problem with the way this board is run. I can repeat this if it makes more sense. I was being a little sarcastic after reading Harold's post. You are back on your moderators "High Horse" and you are upsetting people, again. Maybe it's about time you hung up your "Efes glass" and started to chill. Stop diving in head first with your comments. You appear to find great difficulty in balancing the act of being a FA and a member. Only my humble opinion. I won't post again for 1 week if you like, that will save banning me, again! Don't bother with an email. You've made it public, so finish it in public. Best regards, Texas.

RE 14 Glynn you're a bit of a plonker really aren't you? Do you really think I'd post something I can't support ? Anyone that reads my web site will not deal with the Unwins or Alapn Uz and what I've posted is true and correct. If either of them want to challenge that - go ahead - the publicity would only make it worse. Both of these people have swindled money from customers that bought on the same develoment that I did so I don't care if 1 or 2 people had a smooth transactions with Unwin the fact he made promises of regular updates that didn't happen, he didn't took money for property that wasn't delivered, he's refused to communiate with me for 4 years now. That IS NOT a trucst worthy businessman as Uz is worse. Read the update I#'ve just put on http://www.johnpattison.co.uk/index.php?id=28 about the missing £82,000.
