Here is an an idea for all you doom and gloom merchants. Jesizy, get yourself a van, drive it to Turkey Fill it up with whatever you can that is half price in TRNC, come back and make a killing every trip.



Particularly Car parts or anything else that is just too expensive.



Do yourself a favour and take one of the custom man's relative as a partner. You can't go wrong. Get my drift.

If you buy 5000 pounds worth of stock and sell for 10000, there will be profit and wages. I know someone that does it. He in fact has stopped using van and has 3 shops. 2 in Lefkosha and one in Akdogan.



There is profit in it if you chose the products correctly.

im in the same boat .. 22 with a 4 year old

dont need to work but want to get back into a routine while my sons at school



theres a few jobs on offer at the moment, but none of them pay enough to justify the petrol costs to get there and back

We were talking to one of the staff in Supreme Cafe, Catalkoy yesterday. They are looking for part time staff who can cook and wait tables. If anyone is interested go in and see them.

but ive always worked to provide or to save up for something, i dont mind volunteering but i wouldnt waste my time - not that its not already wasted in coffee shops every morning

im enjoying the break for now nothing better than an extended holiday .. at least until christmas leaves me skint!

i would recommend any brit who wants to work in the TRNC to get a CELTA English Teaching Certificate. Many of the universities would be very happy to hire a native speaker, though you would need to have a degree (just about any degree will do) and they don't hire til around May usually. I'm also a young expat, living here with my local wife, and that is about the only job I could find here that pays well enough to be worth it. Good luck with your job search.
