All of them were brand new cars in 1974..., left behind by the Greek Cypriot car dealer who for obvious reasons was in a hurry...

RE msg 4, hilda: (...) Dutch, have all the shops banks etc still have goods left in them,do not know if it is true, but was told there is still money left inside the banks (...)

=> I don't know! We did not have time enough to enter every shop or house so we asked our guides for the highlights (...) in the area. I doubt however that much is left in the ruined houses and shops. Where we went inside it was a ruin and many houses are falling apart. They are so dangerous here and there that the soldiers - patrolling in the UN jeeps, on bikes and afoot - have to be very careful where to go! In the photobooks we are preparing you'll see what I mean...

Thank you Dutch for sharing those pictures with us,they are amazing. i saw your other pic's on your other thread too. i have been told the place has been looted of all the goods and seeing the car bonnets up can only guess that the engine parts have also been taken.but it must of been fantastic for you to have been able to go in there where time has stood still for 36 yrs.
