Hi everyone, We are looking into buying a viila in Ozankoy, it is one of 4 villas set around a pool. It was built by Sersoy Construction. Does anyone know anything about the villas or the builder or if its a good area to buy a villa in?

Ozankoy is a superb place to live in or have a holiday home in. Friendly, with enough shops, bars and restaurants. Local TC's welcoming and has a real community atmosphere. Near to Girne so taxis are reasonable and plentiful. Have not heard of the builder. Whereabouts in Ozankoy is the development?

Hi Bradus and Dalartokat, the villa is at map ref:35'19"28.66 north and 33'21'33.12 east on Google earth. If anyone has the time/inclination to look at it I would be happy to receive any opinions. The builders name i was given by Unwins so maybe your name is correct and the email from unwin was misspelt. Pleased to hear that Ozankoy is a good place.

Hello Neil Ozankoy is a superb village; my Parents built a house there thirty odd years ago so I've seen it grow. The Locals are very welcoming and the location is hard to beat. Best Wishes Jo Valentine

Hi Maddoq, The villas are resale and one one them is bought ( the one on the left nearest to the sea, as you are facing towards the sea ). Do you know who the owner is? we are looking to buy one of the other 3 through Unwins - did you get yours from them? neil

Hi Bradus, No, we haven't seen the villas yet - only the details via Unwins and I have "viewed" the area on Google earth. We visited NC two summers ago and stayed just over a km away near to the Lemon Tree restaurant so we know the area a little. We are planning to come over at the end of October -when the flights are cheaper. Do you think the houses are likely to be sold by then? I thought with the current slow down it would probably be ok - but I guess it depends upon how good a value other potential purchasers feel they are. Any advice?

Hi Kevin, Thanks for the info, its good to know that there are already friendly people living on site. We are looking forward to coming over and viewing the houses. What do you think of them? If you were buying another which of the 3 would it be - assuming your friends don't buy it first! Unwins said that the other houses were used as holiday lets. Have you any idea how often they have been let? Neil

Hi I also think i know the villas you are talking about, my Aunty rented one when she came on holiday. Just 4 villas on the site aound the 4 corners of the pool? She loved it, everything was a realy good standard as far as i could see and the pool was always clean. She was hoping she can stay there next time! Ozankoy is really friendly, good community and the only draft guiness on the island!!

Hi Kevin, Could you let me have your email so that I can ask you a few more things about the area? Also, have you had any problems obtaining a PTP? Neil

Make sure there is a proper agreement to pay for pool & communal area maintenance, and that the price of this will remain sensible. Mark
