Can you recommend a hotel in Istanbul, thinking of staying there for a few days.

We stayed at the Turban hotel, Hocapasa Sokak No:36 Sirkeci 34112 Istanbul, Turkey very reasonably priced and close to everything, I think it was €35.00 for double with lovely breakfast, the hotel also has a turkish bath, but I loved where the hotel was situated just a short stroll to everything

sorry it should have been the Turvan Hotel, not Turban, you may find a lot of reviews saying it was not up to scratch, but for what we wanted it was most suitable, and priced right for a traveler

We stayed in the Arden Hotel, Suntanahmet. We just booked from Laterooms.com, but were pleased with our choice. The rooms were a little on the small siz, but the location, breakfast and friendliness of the staff made up for that.

We ate at the Arden Hotel and it was very good. We stayed at the Gulhanepark Hotel in Sirketi because we needed a room big enough for 4 - it was very quiet and comfortable. Our friends have stayed at the Maywood Hotel in the same street and it looked very nice too. Check out booking.com for good deals.

Can't beat the Arcadia Hotel Sultanahmet, stayed there 3 times. Best views in Istanbul of Ayia Sofia, Blue Mosque etc. and minutes from all the attractions. Staff very good, lovely breakfasts and resident seagull !!! Sister hotel of the Blue House (Mavi Ev) hotel)

For a small authentic Ottoman hotel try Erten Konak near Blue mosque but make sure you get on of their larger rooms. Friendly, helpful staff and and easy walk to all of Sultanahmet.

Antis Hotel, very nice, good position, but near a railway line, so some rooms may be a bit noisey.
