As Medikent Hospital are only seeing 3 men a day for the Health Check they have agreed to extend it until the end of the month. So anyone wanting a full Health MOT either e-mail trnchealthcare@gmail.com or telephone 0533 884 5621



There is also a full MOT on offer for the ladies.

For a grown up teenager like yourself for the full health check the cost is 625tl reduced from 1250tl



It includes Ophthalmology testing, dental examination including panoramic x-ray, Cardiology tests ..... ECG Excercise treadmill, Abdominal Ultrasound (checks liver , kidneys etc), Chest X-ray, Urology, variety of Blood tests including total PSA (prostate check) and obviously consultations with the appropriate consultants.

Just to say my partner went yesterday and was really impressed by how thorough the whole process was, this would cost about 800 sterling in the UK, fantastic value for money and very professionally handled.

Chris, thanks for all the time and energy you spend arranging these things. Yes I would be interested in a ladies MOT as I was really impressed with Trevor's tests and the way the results came so quickly.

Same tests as for the men (listed on message 6) obviously without the blood test for Prostate! Also includes Gynaecological examination, cervical smear with ultrasound, mammogram, breast ultrasound.

Hi Chris,

About the ladies MOT. In the UK you don't get a mamogram until a certain age. Are there any restrictions on what age you need to have reached before they can carry out all the tests you listed?



Also, about the men's MOT, can you let me know the cost for a 50yr old. And does it make any difference if there's any existing conditions, eg, hubby taking anti depressants and cholestoral tablets - hooked on the anti depressants and frightened to stop the cholestoral tablets in case they are doing something worthwhile!



Also are the nurses English speaking?



And finally, I suspect he'll come back with a clean bill of health so will he be able to request a consultation to discuss any concerns? And will that incur any extra costs?

Medikent would do well to advise of costs in advance, on having my medical,i had to have a biopsy done this morning, they then billed me 1373tl. Had I known this I would have had the biopsy done whilst in england at bedinning of the week.

Pippie there are no age restrictions for women here having mammograms but also a breast ultrasound is carried out which often in the younger woman is a better indicator.



Cost if over 50 yrs is 625tl and it makes no difference if pre-existing conditions although advisable to tell Dr's at the time. There will be an English speaker with him throughout although the Dr's also speak English.



And finally he will have a consultation with the Dr's after every series of tests to discuss results / concerns etc.

The cost for a 47 year old male is 537tl the only difference is, as far as I can see , in the blood tests.

The cost for the ladies is 717 tl this would be minus 80tl for the mammogram. But if you only wanted Gynaecology tests this can be arranged

Hubby and I attended the Health check last week - the tests were conducted very efficiently and found the Doctors very easy to talk to. Hubby needs to have a biopsy which he will have in Uk now we are back home.

Without these tests he wouldn't have been aware of the urgency to do this, so thanks very much Chris for setting this up and now we know can do something about sorting it out.

The staff at the hospital are excellent and in the main speak excellent English.

When ringing Medikent ask for Zalife ext 404 she speaks perfect English
