cavas Just asking the question shows that you probably already know the answer. Unfortunately in Cyprus you cannot trust an estate agent, builder, developer nor your advocate to look after you. They will be your new best lifetime friends until they've got your money. The first 3 are probably not a surprise, they are obviously working for the seller or themselves. Your advocate unfortunately is the same. They don't work on the basis of owing their client (you) a duty of care as they do elsewhere are unregulated and don't have indemnity insurance should/when they get it wrong. The hard earned advice you will glean from this forum (apart from just don't buy property in Cyprus) is simply NO KOCAN = NO MONEY.

You could always try Pete Harrall. His swife is Vashi who is one of the best wedding planners, and she and Pete (w ho runs North Cove Property at Karoglanoglu) pride themselves on both honesty and service. There is an article on bothof them in the current editionof Tourism Monthly, but if you want info on phone numbers etc I can give. I feel that this couple are a great addition to life here in North Cyprus, and Pete really is honest. Try him. Or at least talk to him. As I say, if you don't have details, I can supply. Good luck in the search, and please don't believe the tales that EVERYONE out here - Estate Agents and Lawyer are bad - tisn't so. There IS golf in them thar hills.

I'd back Msg 17. Pete has been and continues to be a great contact for myself and I have never paid him a penny for anything as we have ended up buying off someone else. He is still very honest and friendly IMHO. http://www.northcoveestates.com/ All the details you need are on there.
