Is there anyone else in Ozankoy/Bellapais who still has no electricity? Our electrician has determined that the fault lies with KibTek who are not answering their telephone at the main office in Girne.

Any advice or other contact numbers would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

What about Mr. Cornish? Has he lost power?

Kibtek are apparently working on the problem.

If Mr Cornish is OK the problem is particular to your property.

Have you checked your KibTek fuse/MCB in the meter box?

It could be a lost phase. Mr. Cornish might not be on the same phase as you. If this is the case, 1 in 3 of your neighbours will have no power.

Vaughan

There should not be any MCB's in the meter box. What there should be is a fuse to protect the wiring from the meter box to the consumer unit/units in the house. The things that look like MCB's are just isolating switches (standard Kib-Tek installation) and do not trip in a fault condition. All of the house internal protection is carried out via the consumer unit that (should) combine MCB's for each circuit plus an RCB to protect against earth/neutral faults.

AJ,

I agree with you, but you see all sorts in some meter boxes!

As I said Vaughan we are all ok but friends who live in a different part of Ozankoy are not.

KiBtek are working to rectify the problem that has affected many people in the Ozankoy area.
