Have you been to visit the Ravine Bar lately? It's had a make over and looks 100% better and bigger! Kenan and Mehmet are still there to give you a warm and friendly welcome. The food is as good as ever. We had our Sunday Dinner there and enjoyed every mouthfull, full marks to the Chef. They have a large flat screen TV, where you can sit in very comfy seats and watch all football matches, Pool Table, New Bar inside, and a Dart Board on it's way for the start of the league. Also:

QUIZ NIGHT every Wednesday, Start 19:30. Excellent Buffet at half time. Table Quiz and Regular Quiz with Questions, Puzzles, Gambles, Music. In short something for everyone. Plus Bingo! All lots of fun with prizes.

The New Look Ravine Bar is well worth a visit, don't just take my word for it go and see for yourself.

It's very good there except that the owner (the big fellow) does not think that the smoking ban applies to him.

Msg 10

Hasan (the big fellow as you call him) is the most gentle person you could meet, so not sure where you are coming from,as he sits at the bar because he is writing down the table orders so that your bill is correct at the end of the night. The staff are always polite and happy, and its one of the busiest bars around this area.

Its amazing when somewhere tries to cater for all customers with good food, pool, darts, tv and they still get shot down.

I wonder sometimes what people really want to keep them from moaning.

no matter how busy it gets, the food is always top quality and hot, lovely staff and certainly in our view the best fish, chips, mushy peas and chip shop pickles in the area, love it x

Sorry if you think i am shooting them down true good food and prices yes the staff are polite and happy its a shame Hasan doesn't spread the happiness and talk to the customers .It always has customers when i drive past so there doing a lot right so maybe its only me that feels this way.each to their own as they say and i will go again to see the refit.

Was in the Ravine Bar today, told Hasan & Mustafa about the comments regarding "Hasan"

Mustafa fell about laughing, Hasan went and had something to eat (with a BIG grin on his face)

If you don't know them then you are missing out.

They both want to cater for the Brits and I know that they are doing just that, not just with their bar

but are always willing to help if some one needs advise or assistance as many in the past have discovered.

TSC

P.S.

They say it's not as crazy now that "RIGSBYs" gone !!!!!!

Hasan (my little Teddy Bear), Mustafa and Kenan when we arrived were the most welcoming of people, its lovely to see their Fish and Chips still make the top three. Its well worth a trip to the bar, its not that far from the tables and chat to them as they are a mine of information on local and world wide issues.

But I get the feeling here most people do not go out just for bar chatter and a social drink and this is why this place was our favourite west side. Bring back the old public bars, smoke and all, at least then going out for a drink would not be so repetitive, just hubby and I at the bar - sorry winter coming (smoking outside) just me at the bar. Wish the Ravine was still at the end of the road. Many an entertaining night but rally sally was the best. Rigsby when you are over give us a shout
