Hodgsons time as a manager has been spent mostly with teams who are mediocre (apart from Milan). I fear he has some well honed defensive tactics for enabling average teams to compete against better teams. I suspect though, that Hodgson does not have many well developed strategies for maxing a good attacking team. Hence he is overloading the midfield with too many defensive players.

ah but the ? is can they keep it up , if they had lost today they would need a new manager tomorrow , however backed them at 11/4 , plus the geordies at 4/1 , hearts at 8/5 , and the ultimate bet was fc united of manchester v rochdale last night , at a cool 14/1 ,£10 wins me 6k , good weekend
