Speaking from experience, I would say that there is no point at all in registering a death with the British High Commission unless you have a pressing reason to do so. It may be necessary if there is a request for this from a UK insurance company for instance. Otherwise, don't bother it's just a waste of time and money. UK banks, DWP and so on are perfectly happy with a TRNC certificate (which is in English anyway).
