Turkey, already recognises the TRNC.

Turkey, already permits direct flights to Ercan.

Turkey, has invested Billions in the TRNC over the years.

Turkish Telecom routes all international calls to TRNC.

Turkish Post forwards all international mail.

Turkish armed forces, protected Turkish Cypriots post 1974 to this day...



We must be on the final steps of integration now.. Maybe TRNC will be like wales or Isle of Man is to the UK... Not like Gibralter or Falklands as they are too far away.. A Turkish "Channel Island"... Sort of independent, but not.

read the south press reports like the cyprus mail and you will see they have all but give up hope of a united island or moving back north to get their properties back, they are now talking about plan B or C which if im reading it correct is land adjustment . they are talking 80% for the south and 20% for the north with morpho and verosha handed back .

When you work it out the 700,000 Turkish tourists next year (14,000 per week) seems a bit on the light side to me, though it does depend on how you classify the word TOURIST (person who makes a tour)

It could be said that everyone who enters the country is classed as a tourist, so just under 2,000 per day again seems light when you look at the amount of flights landing at Ercan.

They need to go back and work out their figures as I make it in excess of 3 million, which of course does not include our friends from the South.
