Dont worry but in the south they have rushed a bill through parliment to increase tobacco products. From monday they increase by 40 cents a packet. Shoppers are advised since the bill was passed yesterday to report any retailer increasing prices before the date, guess what many did and orphan annie would only sell min 400. they said report it, to whom on a weekend. What interests me how quickly the can pass this bill when the state of the country results in so so many trips abroad xx

Wouldn't swear to it but understood it was not allowed to take tobacco products through the border from north to south Each time I've flown from Larnaca I've never mannaged to get through the border Metahan or Pilar without having my luggage searched. Must look like a master criminal. At the Greek checkpoint first glimpse of a pkt cigs they've continued to search diligently through the rest of my luggage to find a hidden stash. I was told one pkt per person only.As that was all I ever had they were always dissappointed Haven't flown from Larnaca for several years, has this rule been relaxed?

msg 7 - but as the savings rise, so will the risk taking, after all, it's easy to hide stuff in a car, especially when the people searching can't really be bothered, I mean, how many 'smuggle' [for want of a better word] dairy stuffs/meat etc from the south to the north on a regular basis - not us he said as his as his tongue protruded through the side of his cheek!! Problem likely to be going south, i'll bet 90% of the *border* (for the sake of Marky) staff smoke so will be on the look out to lift their fix, in case you are stopped anyone from the glorious south, have a couple of dummy packets that have been thoroughly 'rimmed' tucked aside for the recipients, or even lace a few with crack, will serve anyone right who 'confiscates' them to keep for themselves, and keep the dummy packets for the next run.

The point I was trying to make was that the ROC managed to pass this with such speed but cant agree on how to work out the talks yrret you are so right we went across for lunch with friends monday in a UK reg car. Everything was checked with the man with a fag in his mouth. I actually have to by mine south side as UI cant get them here, they were gobsmacked as they didnt regonise the brand> I tried to explain that they came from south to north and back to south One packet, he scratched his head as I said look the warning on the packet is in greek not turkish, oh ok go x
