Extending north Cyprus visa

Hi



I wonder if you can help me i have a friend a iranian citizen who as a one month visa which is due to run out on 25 december and who would like to extend until the 10th january she as i ticket to fly back on the 10th to iran and She is at present living in Larnaca.

Can she extend it?

where can she go to do this?

UPDATE ON INFORMATION



This is a visiters one month given at Ercan Airport on arrive from Iran. I have been told she may able to go to a board crossing for a new one?



Please if anyone could guide us in the right direction we would be truely greatful.

Adrian Msg 1 - the best people to ask might be the "authorities" but you say you are based in Larnaca as is your guest so which side has issued the visa. The general knowledge on this bb is about the North not the South.

ady1111: So, unless your Iranian friend has an EU passport, how come she was able to cross to the Republic of Cyprus if she entered what the Greek Cypriot authorities deem to be an illegal port of entry - i.e., Ercan Airport [TRNC]?



Anyway, it seems she has managed to do so!



She should be able to pass back through the border to the North [TRNC], and be granted a further 30 days Visitor's Visa, but she must return to the North before the expiry date of her current TRNC issued visa, otherwise she will definitely face being heavily fined for 'overstaying'. Having enough money might also be necessary, as well as proof of her intention to return to Iran, which she can prove by showing her return air ticket.

So presumably your friend has a separate visa to enter the RoC at one of the crossings after landing at Ercan?

And now needs to re-new only the NC visa, and not the RoC visa?



I am a little surprised that having arrived from Iran, and on crossing to the RoC she was not denied entry on the grounds they use there of 'entering Cyprus via an illegal port'



Sounds like (assuming only the NC visa needs renewing) that she need to go to immigration in Nic with her flight ticket as proof she will leave on that date. However, better first check that her EU entry visa, i.e. the one she used to cross to the RoC is not a single entry or she won't be able to go back, if they check the passport on crossing.

I fully understand you are surprised at this, as was i.

If you cross at nic with a Greek Cypriot plated car you are generally wavied thru



She as no EU visa only a visiters NC Visa 30 days stamp from Ercan airport.



Could you please tell me where immigration is in nic?



i have been a few times but dont know it that well
