I am attempting to create a Barbershop singing chorus here in the TRNC and am on the lookout for men of all ages - expats or locals - who would be interested in having a go. The first get-together will be on Tuesday 18th January, 7.30pm at Chateau Lambousa,Lapta.

You don't have to be a brilliant singer and you don't have to be able to read music as learning discs will be supplied. You will need to be willing to learn and, above all, have some fun doing it. Everyone has a singing voice even if they haven't yet discovered it so don't be shy or give up before you've tried it!

None of the guys who have already committed to the first evening (apart from myself) have ever sung barbershop before so the whole thing will be a learning process but hopefully it will be an enjoyable experience.

Either come along on Tuesday 18th or if you require some more information or would like to register your interest before hand, please respond on this forum or give me a call on 0542 8793051. Peter

Just a timely reminder. Any guys - expat or otherwise - who might be interested in having a go at Barbershop Singing, a first get-together will be held at Chateau Lambousa on Tuesday next, 18th January, to explore the options and have a bit of fun having a go. There are no formal auditions and you don't have to be able to read music, but if you enjoy some of the old (and new) songs sung in the barbershop style, come along and have a go.
