Marian Stokes seems not to believe the Cyprus Today article saying the TRNC Bar Council will prosecute their lawyers for free: "We also intend taking a class action case against at least one lawyer for gross negligence and/or fraud. If you think this should be against your lawyer and you are willing to contribute towards the cost, please e-mail marian.hbpg@gmail.com."

Mal, maybe lack of confidence in the HBPG's ability to achieve? The will is there and they do their best to demand change but they are left trying to negotiate with a Government and Industry that does not want to change and whats more has proved over and over again that they have no intention of doing so. People are familiar with the stalling tactics always used. This is just another one of them. I would really love to be proved wrong and will keep my beady eyes on Cyprus Free Press, as I know you will be the first to report any successful suing of TRNC advocates. I do wish them luck and hope that the joint action lawsuit comes off.

There was an HBPG update on 11th February 2011 saying "thanks to the hundreds of you who took time to complete the Lawyer Assessment Form which provided vital information for us to determine the extent of the issues caused by some lawyers. As a result of your input the TRNC Bar Council are now taking all complaints against lawyers seriously... The initial investigation will take approximately 4 weeks after which time you will be informed if your complaint is valid or not. If the complaint appears to be valid it will be forwarded to the Bar Council of The Turkish Republish of North Cyprus for action." Now has this been yet another waste of time or has someone actually had the results of this "initial investigation"?
