| Could someone please tell me the Turkish name for sweetbreads ? I have tried to discribe them to various butchers but they just look at me as if i'm daft !!! Liz |

| Whilst the gonads are technically sweetbreads, it is other lymph glands that are usually used for culinary purposes.... throat neck or gullet thymus glands... the others are far too strong in flavour for most pallets. |

| Yes, in Turkey they call them Koc Yurmurtasi (ram's eggs)i, great sliced and barbied with a little lemon juice. They used to be served with a mixed grill, but people have got squeamish... amd lost out Afiyet olsun |
