Hi ALL, Looking for home for lovable white long haired Cyprus Terrier.

We are leaving for Uk in 3 weeks and would love to see her housed.

Will make a lovely companion for a family or elder person/persons.

Could she not go with you as hand luggage? You can do this with smaller animals. Quarantine in the UK is not an awful experience for the animal as I know from the experience of my in laws.

Sorry to ask but what will happen to her if you can't re-home her?

Perhaps not worried as long as they get rid.

Thanks for the comments Paddy whack, if you dont know, dont say things you know nothing about.

We are only going for 1 month, and we have housed our dog.

This dog is one that has adopted us over the last 6 weeks.

We are trying to find a permanent home for her,, she;s adorable, but we cannot take her on.

Have you tried to put a photo of her on the notice boards in the vets that is where I got my rescued Cyprus Poodle from they had over 60 calls wanting her. Two years on she is part of our family now couldn't be with out her, she is having injections to come back to UK.

I think it is worth a try; Petcross might be able to help you.

If you're only going away for one month, any chance you could put the dog into kennels and then pick it up again when you get back here? Just a thought.

Thanks for this info, have considered option Tango, problem we have is we already have 1 dog from KAR, and as we live on a complex in 2 bed apartment, we dont have much room, and dont want to annoy the neighbours and holidaymakers when they come to relax.

Just out of interest what are you intending to do if you cannot rehome the dog before you go back to the UK for your month's break?

Hi Bob, As stated she is not out dog, just a stray that has adopted us, we have made provision for our dog when we are away.

So, let me get this right. This person took pity on a stray that adopted him and is now being castigated for not making arrangements for the dog whilst they are out of the country (on a pre-planned trip, I would imagine, seeing he is attending his daughter's wedding). He has already stated that he has no room for the stray and that he has made arrangements for his own pet. Perhaps he should not have taken pity on the poor thing in the first place? What do you expect him to do - arrange his life around a stray animal that he was kind enough to care for or would people have thought better of him if he had posted that a stray dog had turned up on his doorstep and he just ignored it.

Can't do right for doing wrong springs to mind.

holly its so hard here not to fed any poor soul , we all know we should wear rose coloured specs, but our nature is such if you see a starving child, animal or any one in distress what can you do. Walk on by. We all end up with two or three dogs or cats as we care. 6 years i have been here and i cant within my heart turn a blind eye x

Liz - that's one of the points I was trying to make in my message. You, of all people, know just how difficult (if not impossible) it would be to just ignore a hungry stray animal.

Maybe it would be better though, if we did; at least if we all ignored such cases we couldn't be accused of being cruel, could we?

Speak to you soon.

Message 25. With respect, the person trying to find a home for this dog has already said he/she is not in a position to keep it.

At least they're trying to do the right thing by appealing for someone to take it.

Thanks Jeannie & Lilli for your understanding of this matter, seems that Hollylou is on a mission to castagate anyone that takes pity on all these poor animals here.

Hollylou,I would dearly love to have this dog, and Lilli's and every dog that is looking for a home, but unfortunately I live in UK at present.....maybe one day I will be in that position to help more with the poor dogs that are looking for homes.....but not just now sadly
