| I've never bothered doing this after hearing of the outrageous cost involved.
It doesn't seem to have mattered either as long as the bills are paid. However, am thinking of getting this done in the near future.
Any comments as to the current (no pun intended) rates for electric, water phone? |

| The Belediye (well, in Lapta anyway) don't charge for change of names. Take your contract or kocan with you to register. The Kibtek change of name is a waste of time in my opinion as they charge quite a bit. Mine has been in the previous owner's name for years, nobody cares as long as the bill is paid. If you have a land line telephone, you will have to go to the phone office and sign a new contract and pay a fairly small deposit but be aware that they will change your phone number as they don't allow you to keep the one that's in somebody else's name. |

| Done the Belediye bit..that was no problem.
So..the consensus (re phone, electric etc.)...limited tho it is so far..is don't bother and keep paying the bills? |
