Many, many years ago when I was training as a nurse I was sent to the stores for rubber gloves for a Snr Nurse who had had a finger amputated when she was a child. The man in the stores duly cut the left hand finger from one glove and handed the pair to me. I was nearly back in the ward before it dawned on me how much of a twit I was!!.

I got done by a couple of these, I used to get sent a mile up the road to a small merchants who it turned out were in cahoots with my company at the time, they would take the petty cash I had been given and tell me they had to 'get them in' and could I come back in an hour. And it didnt end there...........
