Chimneys Bar has re opened and is being run by english people. gone are the days of al a carte grub it is a good old english type pub with english pub grub probably the cheapest beer and food on the north of the island, its great to go in a place where you can get a pie and a pint without getting ripped off. Sunday lunch for 12ytl for the main course and if you fancy a starter or sweet they are 3ytl each Efes and Fosters Draught at 3ytl a pint all 50cl bottle beer at 4 ytl Local spirits with mixer at 4ytl for a double measure and imported spirits at 7ytl for a double with mixer The bar snacks are great value for money, its about time somebody opened a bar for the not so rich.

Excellent. The Chimneys bar is local to us in Catalkoy. We will definetely be paying that a visit when we are out for Christmas & the New Year!

Spud1 - The directions as best I can describe!

If you leave the main Girne-Catalkoy road as if you were going to the Fez (there is a huge fruit and veg stall on the side of road), you head straight up the road towards Catalkoy Village and it is just 2 mins up on the left.

Went to Cimneys last night very relaxing, no load music, and met some realy nice people, curry and rice was great value for money and very tasty and if todays sunday lunch is the same i will be more than happy.

They are having the satalites connected this week so football next weekend with a few beers and a plate of food without having to sit at a dinning table is my kind of place well worth a visit

Hi tufty i went to Chimneys bar with my girlfriend this sunday for sunday lunch and i gotta say it was really nice, they re opened recently under new management and they do a real nice sunday lunch, and i did enjoy myself. It has a nice atmosphere and the staff are friendly. The beer is cheap at 4 ytl a bottle and vodka and coke at 4ytl too which is cheaper than anywere else i have been. I think i will be there again this sunday and would recommend chimneys to anybody looking for a decent cheap sunday lunch.
