Hello all - does anybody know what time Metahan border insurance office opens / closes. We have a flight arriving in the evening to Larnaca and I am deciding on where to hire the car from. Thanks

it's not 24 hrs my sister arrived at border about 1 am and the insurance man had gone home they had to wait untill the man turned up at 7 am. 6 hours with 4 in car and 1 case on back seat, the border control said if its quite they go around midnight come back anytime 6am to 8am.we had larnaca flight few weeks ago and got to border about 11 pm and thankfully it was open, hope this helps.

Thanks Mark - Our flight is scheduled to land at 9.10pm so it could be tight - if delayed obviously a problem !

I have been out in april, june and sept landing at 20.40 in april i got lost on route and went through border around midnight all three occasions have been fine. The instruction i downloaded from here were fine i just could not read and drive at same time so i got lost at nicosia.

Just make sure the car rental you use is aware you plan to go north. kprexxo who i used last are not allowing cars to the north now.
