HRH Camilla Parker Bowles (nee Windsor) It appears our beloved Camilla, is to leave her partner (The Windsor Ears) part way on his trip around Indonesia, because her delicate constitution cannot bear the heat of the place. It is apparently something to do with her age! I wonder who will pay for this lot!! IS THERE NO END TO THIS IDIOCY? wyn

Wyn, it is estimated that the cost of this trip will be in the region of £500,000. It would have been a lot more but I understand that in an attempt to avoid appearing extravagant, the size of Prince Charles’ entourage, visiting Japan, will be reduced in view of ongoing global financial crisis. The size of his entourage will be reduced from the normal figure of around 21 staff to approximately 15 personnel. Poor couple must be breaking their hearts to have only 15 personnel to look after them. Still, they've done it for the country and we must look up to them for that!.

You lot are heartless, poor old Camilla is probably having hot flushes, she,s at a funny age you know, and she,s probably having to mop her own brow due to the shortage of flunkies on this trip with her. Besides that she has got to get ready for her dear hubbys birthday bash, have you any idea how many sandwiches she,s going to have to cut up, not to mention the jelly and trifle she,ll have to make, at least she doesn,t have to book the room over the Co-op for the party so that should help. Come on guys, a bit of sympathy for this poor couple who have to try to fit some social life in while constantly having to jet off to far away places to represent us peasants.

hattikins, Give us guys a break!! With all this unconscionable expenditure by Charlie Farlie and his sons taking helicopters to go on their jollies to see their girlfriends (Harry took a helicopter from Catterick Camp into a local pub at Yarm (local village) with a bunch of his mates. Now Camilla throwing around taxpayers funds because of her hot flushes............us guys are starting to have hot flushes when we get our tax bills. The only ones not having flushes(according to board members) are people in the TRNC, who have no water to flush with. Disgraceful!! wyn

Just add it to the extra tax we will be paying to keep the country afloat and save the banks! Will someone pay for someone to mop my brow when I have my hot flushes? or shall I nip to Argos for a fan providing I can afford the electricity to run it. LL (recently returned from China)

Prince Charles was driving around the Windsor Castle estate when he accidentally ran over his mother's favourite corgi, crushing it to a pulp. He got out of his Range Rover and sat down on the grass, totally distraught. The whole world was against him anyway, and now his mother would go ballistic. Suddenly, he noticed an old oil lamp half buried in the ground. He dug it up, started cleaning it up, and immediately a genie appeared. "You have freed me from thousands of years of imprisonment," said the genie. "As a reward, I shall grant you one wish." "Well," said the Prince, "I have all the material things I need, but let me show you this dog." They walk over to the splattered remains of the dog. "Do you think you could bring this dog back to life for me?" the Prince asked. The genie carefully looked at the remains and shook his head. "This body is too far gone for even me to bring it back to life. Is there something else you would like?" The Prince thought for a minute, reac

The Prince thought for a minute, reached into his pocket and pulled out two photos. "I was married to this beautiful woman called Diana," said Charles, showing the genie the first photo. "But now I love this woman named Camilla," and he showed the second photo to the genie. "You can see that Camilla isn't beautiful at all, so do you think you can make Camilla as beautiful as Diana?" The genie studied the two photographs and, after a few minutes, said, "Let's have another look at that dog."

Nige, Do you think he would have been missed if he,d been kicked out of the forces, probably not, he,s only a figurehead anyway. His marriage to Diana was a sham, but she provided the heir and the spare which was what he needed to continue the line of succession. I personally don,t give two hoots who he sleeps with or even marries, he is a 60 year old highly privileged, wealthy, pampered monarch in waiting who has no grasp on reality. My opinion so hope I have not offended anyone.

Wyn "HRH Camilla Parker Bowles (nee Windsor)" I don't understand.... who was born Windsor? Camilla Parker Bowles was nee Shand.... It's no secret that Charles was having sex with her the night before his wedding.... This alone proves he's bonkers.... All I can think of she must be the best sh*g on earth as she has nothing else going for her.... I mean, really look at her... she makes horses look good.

The House of Windsor came into being in 1917, when the name was adopted as the British Royal Family's official name by a proclamation of King George V, replacing the historic name of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha. It remains the family name of the current Royal Family.

One for you Wyn A husband and wife were having dinner at a very fine restaurant when this absolutely stunning young woman comes over to their table, gives the husband a big kiss, tells him she'll see him later, and walks away. His wife glares at him and says, "Who was that ?" "Oh," replies the husband, "that was my mistress." The wife says, "That's it; I want a divorce." "I understand," replies her husband, "but, remember, if you get a divorce, there will be no more shopping trips to Paris, no wintering in the Caribbean, no Infinity or Lexus in the garage, and no more Country Club. But the decision is yours." Just then the wife notices a mutual friend entering the restaurant with gorgeous woman. "Who's that woman with Jim ? " she asks. "That's his mistress," replies her husband. "Ours is prettier," says the wife.

Getting back to the thread... I suppose it's the forbidden fruit... you see Diana was thrust upon him by his parents... not forbidden.. Camilla was another man's wife... he wanted what he couldn't have... Silly really but men, fickle eh! Who'd a thunk it? If only they'd have understood psychology a bit better, they could have made Diana so much more desirable by setting their sail against her.

Charles loved Camilla long before she became another man's wife. She was not accepted because at her 'coming out' (debutantes ball) she had a one night stand, thereby making her taboo for a future queen. So, she married a man who obviously thought her attractive. (Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!) Charles was persuaded to marry the 'virgin' Diana (who boasted to her sister that she would get him from her). She put some height and looks into the rather plain, plump Windsors (albeit Saxe-Coburgs) in her sons. Charles' fault, if you can call it one, is bowing to the demand for duty above all. You could do worse for a future king than one who champions the land, and the environment. Personally, I care not. But E.R. has kept her vows to us as she made on her 18th birthday.

Oh Phylray, The voice of reality and sanity. For my part" God save the Queen" In my eyes she can do no wrong. A lifetime of commitment and dedication to her Country. Her commitment, without doubt, has been over and above, the call of Duty. Your posting Phylray, was written by a woman about a woman! Out of respect, for a fellow human being, I will refrain from from detailed analysis, however at best she may be a victim of her genes. A QUEEN of this great country, she will never be, despite the hidden delights of the bedchamber. Just as manners maketh man, she will never be of the right stuff! Just my view, that is all! wyn

Wyn, message 35 "If you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen" was coined by Harry S Truman when refusing to stand for re-election... he meant if you don't think you are up to the job you should make way for somebody who is... I don't think anyone should get out of the way to let Charles take over... he's clearly bonkers. Camilla might be the love of his life but frankly I don't give a damn, she does not have the gravitas for the position... My opinion... they should be shipped off to Paris like the Duke of Windsor.

If we don't have a monarch then the alternative is a president, and that's too ordinary and boring. Notice that all the countries that did away with their monarchs are either ecstatic about ours or hell bent on badmouthing them. If the U.K. don't want a monarchy they will decide, but I think they still do, especially in S. England.

You know who paid for Charles and The Rottweiler and their entourage . Have a guess how much it costs for the Queen and her man and small army to travel for a handshake and a free dinner across the world..? |
