Very early in the morning for you to be that dyslexic!

As Britains favourite carry-out foods are Pizza, Chicken Tikka Masala and Chinese your post is ironic...

I've never heard anybody telling foreign nationals to put aside their own cuisine.

I have heard moaning ex-pats berating the lack of "English" cuisine here...

However this is a falsehood... A lot of foodstuffs from which traditional English food can be created is readily available here.

It is good that the ready-made varieties some people seem to live on these days is less easy to come by... They are wasteful, expensive and not good for you....

As a quickie I will say that all of teh above foods you mentioned are a lot better than the Briitsh fast foods of fish and chips or,? hmm what else is there? saveloy, steak and kidney pie , now mushy peas are healthy.

Nige, turn the keyboard upside down and shake it a few times, could be a lot of crap that gets in. You will be surprised what will fall out, it might work a little longer

Nige,

I think some of the issue here is buying kellogs corn flakes as opposed to local brands.

If you are rich like you (just jesting) no doubt it is Kellogs, me it is whatever is cheapest!

No problem for me in PAYING top price, only thought would be "how stupid"!!!!

I will buy on south side if I thought it was cost effective for our needs. Unfortunatley there are people who shop in south because the want "branded goods" at better price. They are the sad ones.

I noticed in Carrefour the other day (looking out of interest as some folk keep extolling the virtues of food shopping in the south as a cost saving exercise) that while Kellogs cereals are indeed substantially cheaper but on the other hand checken breats were 8.88 Euro per kilo which is approximately 16YTL...

Here they are 10.78 per kilo with 10% discount if you buy them at the specialist chicken shops that have opened recently
