Hi. I'm doing a project about tourism in North Cyprus and was wondering if anyone know any information on the Domestic, inbound and Outbound tourism in North Cyprus. Any charts/data would be useful too ! thank you.

@ msg 1, Tyra.Delaney: Why don't you start at the TRNC Ministry of Tourism? Then approach for example Mr. Aziz Kent (owner of the Celebrity Hotel in Lapta) and compare the figures? This board is hardly the place to obtain reliable and serious data. Out of personal interest: for whom are you doing this project?

Tyra, DC is correct in saying you should go to the Hotels and then speak to the owners who have started from scratch and would have seen the good and bad times over the years. DC has mentioned Celebrity, but also Riverside, Sempati, Oscars, Pia Bella Sammys and Club Z. Its not about anyones opinion on whether they like these hotels its about how they have managed to get through the tough times and survive.



As DC has said this board is not the place to collate your information you need to go direct to the owners. All of the above are approachable people to give their opinions. Good luck and let us know how you get on, your findings will be interesting I'm sure.

Tyra Msg 1 - Contact the Tourism Ministry (maybe starting with the Bedford Square office) Kitsab and the hoteliers association.

Individual Travel Agents and Tour Operators will not be able to give you a relevant feedback as they can’t tell you more than their own circumstances in what is at present a very poor market.

there is no shortage of brits doing 'holiday lets'.......



plenty of brits came and bought because it was cheap,



plenty have bought more then one(in everyone elses name you can think of),due to cheap prices,



plenty of brits have now run out of money,due to constant drinking and not thinking,



plenty are trying to sell with no deeds,because they bought pre 74 GC land/property,





plenty are knocking TRNC 24/7 whilst trying to sell!!!,



plenty intelligent/sensible have summer/holiday properties,



plenty 'clever' ones are ..................
