cant help you but you may be confusing people by asking for a grandfather clock . Do you mean a long case clock, thats what many people call a grandfather clock quite mistakingly. So do you mean a long case clock or a grandfather clock? whatever sorry cant help you but if you reconsider your request this may help someone else help you...

we have an old long case (19C) clock in UK the difficulty is maintaining it in working order, every time our clock man came out he ended up taking the top working unit away and bringing back about 3 months later with a £400 bill....we just look at it now .....you need to find a good clock man who knows about these timepieces and repair promptly and economically. If not they become ornaments. May be better to buy a reproduction with modern works, they are more expensive than the originals though. Seen some lovely repros but around £4K to £6K.

Rocky, Re Message 5. Go and see Des the real clockman at Lambusa Market on a Saturday. He is a Craftsman Member of the Royal Horilogical Society in UK and knows his clocks and watches inside out. He has even repaired clocks for the Royal Family. He will quote you a price, it will be very reasonable, if you accept the job will be done quickly and properly. They wanted £300 in Girne to fix my Grandmother clock, he did it for £75. Best Wishes.
