I was a financial adviser in the UK and whether you are independant or tied (as in authorised to sell only one companies products) you have to be registered with the Finincial services Authority. You can check on names and companies that are registered and authorised:

Mmmm, intersting comments, have not been on this forum the last few days. We are actually a lead generator for various companies and pass on leads to one of these companies, depending on the client´s needs . The financial advisers who would advise on Qrops pension schemes are actually regulated by the FSC, the Financial Services Commission in Gibraltar.
