Does anyone know of an english speaking doctor that knows a lot about Hypertension. I will be living in Lapta in a few weeks and although my GP in the UK has given me sufficient medication for a few months, I will need to get checked out regularly and continue with my medication.

twoofus,

If you e-mail me on trnchealthcare@gmail.com with the name of the meds you are on I will be able to tell you if readily available. Also depending on where you are living in lapta I should be able to check your BP. Also able to recommend a good Doc.

Msg 1

Most high blood pressure tablets can be bought across a pharmacists counter or their generic counterpart without prescription. Take Chris's advice and speak with her first, she's good and knows her stuff!

Hi

I am on 100mg Losartan and 2.5mg Bendroflumethiazide per day.

My husband Tony is on 10mg Crestor Rosuvastatin and 10 mg Ramipril per day.

Regards

You can certainly get Bendroflumethiazide and Ramipril with no problems from the chemist. The doctor I was recommended for hypertension is in the clinic behind the new refill cartridge place in Girne (nearly opposite Teachers Hotel).

Hope this helps.

msg. 4. You will have no difficulty getting Crestor Rosuvastatin 10 mg. from most chemists. I am on the 20mg dosage & that used to be harder to get several years ago, but my chemist always has them now.
