| The Karpaz Tractor Safaris are still popular despite the hot weather. The trailer has a nice little canopy and there is always a lovely breeze in the mountains. The picnic area is situated at a lovely secluded beach under a lovely old fig tree. The area has recently been cleaned by the Belediye at our instigation. Its beautiful for swimming and sunbathing too!! Tel.05338206798 or 05338756299 ask for Pakize, who speaks English Email:tractorsafari@gmail.com |

| Here is the info again if you are interested: Our Turkish friends Pakize and Bülent offering 'Tractor Safaris into the Karpaz Nature Reserve. We went last year and enjoyed it so much. Pakize and Bülent run a the very little Damla Restaurant at the end of the village by the road to Golden Beach and the Monastery. This year they are having a face lift and hope to share their mountain experiences with many more people. Pakize speaks English very well and is a really good cook. She makes a wonderful picnic for the trip which we eat at a secret little beach under a lovely old Fig tree, at a nicely set table and chairs. Her homemade food is delicious and an iceboox with cold drinks is included. On our way sitting high up in the trailer on cushioned seats and a little sun roof we saw many wild donkeys, goats, foxes and so many beautiful flowers, birds like hoopoes, golden orioles, rollers and bee eater and storks. The amazing yellow rock (where we had freshly made Turkish coffee) con´t |

| with its unusual rock formation, the little mountain church of Aios Philon Agridhia with some just decernible ikon paintings on top of the Karpaz spine. The views are breathtaking seeing both coastlines and on a clear day also the mountains in Turkey. Rock tombs at the ancient totally ruined city of Ourania and the Byzantine churches at Afendrika and the Ayios Philon Basilika at Oasis and then return for a final drink at the Damla restaurant An outing where a camera and binoculars are a must!! We always have a camera and binoculars with us , should you forget!! | Hi zuluwarrior, The trip starts in Dipkarpaz and usually starts about 10 or 11 in the morning and lasts about 4 to 6 hours dependending how long you linger over lunch and swimming and sunbathing, donkey riding, goat and donkey watching , photographing etc, etc, The trip costs 30GBP and includes a delicious three course lunch, and plenty of cold drinks and freshly made Turkish coffee before, en route and to complete the trip. Email tractorsafari@ gmail.com for more info. you will love it!!! |

I'm only doing it because I believe what she and her husband do is really great. I don't know anybody who has not liked the trip!! There's nothing in it for me other than having happy friends!!! Its a great excursion and you definitely get your money's worth!!!!!!!!!!!! |
