Just in case you don't know - although at times it looks like it - Cyprus 44 is not exactly Yellow Pages or a jobs Directory. It is a social discussion forum!

xaybee; If you are a student and the Universities have shut, has your visa not expired? Does your visa allow you to seek employment here? And if you do not find work here soon, how are you going to get the money to support yourself? If I am not mistaken, you are one of the dozens of students from a close continent I see in the streets every night, who have decided to stay behind instead of returning home. Do not get me wrong, you have my sympathy, but there are enough illegals from mainland Turkey filling up such jobs and Turkish Cypriots are having to compete with them as it is. I say "compete" because when one is an illegal alien, one must take whatever pay given, so as not to starve! No self respecting TC supporting a family would work for such wages. As a Turkish Cypriot, I would rather see you return to your home, than add to what is currently a major problem in my country.

But is he turkish. also students are allowed to work 20 hours a week, or is that only in term time? Many of them do stay on because they do not have the money to return home but prefer to stay and earn money to help towards their studies in the autumn. of course I have no idea where xaybee fits in.
