Hi all,



Just a quick update on my dad because lots or people have been asking. He ended up having a quadruple heart bypass on Friday and the doctors said they surgery went well. He is out of intensive care and back on the ward in his own room. They took him off the breathing machine yesterday and he had a small walk along the ward too. He is recovering well but isnt quite ready for visitors yet. Thank you for all your lovely messages and support.

Hi Suzie,

Its 2 years last friday since I had my triple bypass.Tell your dad to take it easy but get as much excercise in as he can.The sooner he starts the better it is.If he can get himself onto a rehab course which last for 5 weeks it is better to do the excercise with those in the same boat.The meds are a bit of a pain to get on with but you get used to them.If you need to talk to people that have been through it there is a brilliant site http://www.heart2hearts.co.uk ,here you can get most of your answers to any worries anxieties you may have.Good luck and welcome to the Zipper Club.
